Alvar Blomgren:
Prophecies
and Revelations
On Sunday, January 7th of this year, we
were visited by Pastor Birger Claesson at the evening meeting in the
Pentecostal Church in Örebro. I had heard about the strange
vision he had had, and asked him to tell us about it, which he did.
We all felt seized, yes shaken, by what we heard, and understood that
the revelation was from God and that God wanted to use it to awaken
his people and warn the unsaved, so that they might repent to God and
seek salvation before the catastrophe of judgment comes upon
them.
On Tuesday, January 16th, Pastor Claesson came to Örebro
at our request so that we could have the opportunity to record his
speech regarding the revelation on tape. We met in the home of editor
Fl. Hällzon. When Claesson sat down in front of the apparatus
with the microphone in his hand and was about to begin speaking, he
said: — Now I see the vision again.
God thus let him see
the same vision again as before, so that he did not have to reproduce
from memory what he had seen before, but while he sat there with the
microphone in his hand, he saw the strange events as if on a canvas
and had only to describe them, all the while the apparatus recorded
his words on the steel tape.
At the meeting in the Pentecostal
Church on January 7, we were struck by a passage in Birger Claesson's
speech. When he told about the naval attack on Stockholm, he said,
among other things: And then they shot down that fleet, and I heard
the voice cry out: — It happened in Oxdjupet! And as a sign of
where the actual fighting was, I saw a small lighthouse, which I do
not know myself, but it said "Brödstycket" on the
lighthouse. And then Claesson added: — You can check for
yourself if there is such a lighthouse.
When we met at Red
Hällzon's, Claesson himself had not yet had the opportunity to
check whether there really was a lighthouse called "Brödstycket".
I therefore suggested that we go to the City Library to look in some
book or encyclopedia to see if we could find the lighthouse in
question. When we entered the library, I explained our business. We
were looking for a place, a lighthouse, in the Stockholm archipelago,
which was to be called "Brödstycket". The librarian
came with us and picked out books of various kinds and we began our
search. There was excitement in the air. Would we find a lighthouse
called "Brödstycket"? This was actually decisive proof
that the revelation was from God and was true.
Now the
librarian came forward with a large map, and we helped each other
search. We found "Oxdjupet", which Claesson had also seen
and heard in his vision. And, indeed, inside there we found a
lighthouse and there it was written clearly and distinctly:
"Brödstycket".
What we felt then is difficult
to describe. We felt both crushed and grateful that we were allowed
to believe in a living God who works miracles.
